I read it as no bids and $50 to open. Wish I was closer. Gianni

Five 1/2 ton pickups, and this could get done. I'm guessing that due to government involvement, there will be hazmat manifests and end-user certs involved, placarding, and who knows what kind of shizzle as we entered the People's Republic. PITA. Easier and less hassle to just work cloverleaf freeway onramps and use pliers at truck stop parking lots.

Deputy Al, second 1/2 ton Dodge reporting for duty. Also, we could store it in my "back forty" (0.40) behind my pyramid of rocks. Later of course, small lots could easily penetrate the Granola Curtain.

I looked at the lot before it, too. Does anybody in Illinois need 4000+ pounds of
9mm spent brass?

Ummm, doesn't Sundog live in OK, perhaps he would honcho this?

And, he has the MOAS. It says they will help you put it on a flatbed trailer, and a three quarter ton pickup ought to pull 7,000 lbs. Haul it over to Sundogs, melt it down.

Now if we can just get Sundog on board. I'm sure we could work out him getting a "cut" for his time and trouble.

Shouldn't this be under the group buy section!

Now if we can just get Sundog on board. .

Find out where lives, show up with a trailerload of lead and a liberal supply of his favorite refreshments. (Shhh - not too loud he might hear us.)

Yeah, might hear mo'betta' if some troops arrived with the truck full of lead, refreshments, and several helpers willing to do the work. This volume of lead might take a full day. No, not might, but will take. ... felix

Man - just what I need - and I'm in striking distance. Got the 1/2 ton PU, and I'd be happy to provide labor & cash if someone can put this together.

I wish I was a little closer. I sure could use some soft lead to complement the several hundred pounds of 40/60 solder I have. If the cost was low enough, I might be able to justify driving from W. TN to OK. Maybe I could tell SWMBO that I was going to visit my brother in Tulsa.

How far from Ft. Sill to Koweta Mission? Wonder if there is a good way to secure that stuff on a flatbed? If enough people were interested they could Pony Express the lead across the country, but then is there enough of it to make it worthwhile?

About 4-4.5 hour run. As long as the gubmint's involved, I have little interest in hauling off their trash. I remember will the physical plant at Huachuca burned down. What a mess - asbestos. Cleanup was under traps with sprinklers running 24/7 and guys in full suits. So, I'm kinda wondering the source of this stuff....

Would they have to tell if it's contaminated with asbestos?

Lead pipe was used in the waste system of residential plumbing. It connected the "P" traps under sinks to the waste pipe in the wall. Knowing what I do about the bio-hazards of the cooties in that stuff, I wouldn't want to be in the same county with it open and exposed to the air.
You think asbestos is dangerous when it's disturbed to airborn status? Can you say diptheria or cholera? Try typhoid or hepetitis.
Y'all have at it. I'm GLAD I'm not in the same state with it!
