OK I haven't bought any dies or top punches for a long time for the Lyman. Where is the best place to buy these now. I see Grafs has them. I need a .431 for the 44 mag with a semi wad cutter top punch.

I've never purchased from Graf's, though they're a sponsor and have a good reputation. I've often found the best prices at Midsouth.

Thank you, I'll keep you in mind for the top punches......One more question , this one is so old there in no hex head holding the die in the press body- How do you remove the die..Does it press in and out?
I hate to break it with pressure.

I'll give a big +1 for the top punches that Theperfessor makes. I just picked up 3 of them and they work great. Lots cheaper too than the name-brand stuff. I picked up my sizer dies from Grafs (great service and prices) but I hear there is a member here that makes them. You could also probably get the .431 sizer from Ranch Dog.

If you have a Lyman 45 the die is held in with a knurled head screw. If you have a 450 or 4500 the die is held in with a hollow nut with a very fine (30 tpi) thread that requires a 7/8" wrench. I also sell a special nut driver for these models that really helps square things up and prevent stripping.

If the nut is off and the die still won't come out its probably dried lube, might need to use a heat gun or hair drier to soften it up.

If you need any sizers that are "non-standard" size, like .316 or .461, etc..., keep Buckshot in mind.

It is a Lyman/Ideal old vintage lubesizer..I clean it up and the die came out. It had some real hard black A$$ nasty lube in it. I flipped it upside down and put the heat to it, melted all the lube out of it and out came the die.

I know it takes Lyman/ RCBS dies

well ... not knowing how old you are .... lolz i can only state that every 450 is younger than me and every #1 is older than me ( i was born in the era of the #45 ...perhaps that's why i like them so much ??? :p ) ye olde #1's had a thumbscrew that was replaced by a allen/hex head set screw on the 45 altho some early 45's may of had the thumbscrew or late #1's may of had the set screw ( at least in my experience thus far ) while not mine the first one i used was a 450 in the mid 70's , i then bought his "old #45 " for a decent price ( $5 ) that one is long gone [shrugz]

Really? I ordered one from them not too long ago and shipping was 5.95 or something like that.

The fact that Randy is in Canada may have something to do with the shipping??
