drcook posted on one of the several forums about free Styrofoam bullet trays at blood draw labs. So I followed up and got a few today

BD Vacutainer Styrofoam Trays
* 100 holes in each tray
Hole ID Diameters:
* 0.515 ... product # 8084796
* 0.635 ... product # 8084795

Uses:
** Loading trays based on caliber rim diameters
** Bullet storage trays based on base diameters

If you are looking for a lot of them, go to the blood draw labs that have a high volume of daily patients

Wow!!!! I work in a nursing home and see these every time lab comes and never thought about using them for loading trays. I've been saving the plastic trays out of ammo boxes thinking that was a great idea, so I don't have to buy them when I get my reloading setup. I will definately have to grab some trays now!!!! Thanks for the idea.

I save all the boxes and trays from the .40 S&W ammo I shoot at Front Sight. I have at least 50 boxes with 2 trays in each one.

Most pistol ammo is packaged in this type of tray.

You can also find these boxes at your local range left behind by shooters that don't reload, usually along with their brass!

lots of free sources for this stuff.

I picked some up about 3 month's ago on my last visit for blood work.
I store my Paper patched boolit's in them.
