I just had a http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm153/Chickenthief/Blandet/Smilere/Brainfart.gif

If i anneal 9mm brass and push it through a Lee 380 bulge buster it comes out @.374". So if i make a topforming tool that will mount in the bulge buster, i can size first then form the tip.
They are going to be shot in a Winchester 1895 in 38-72

Does this seem feasable?

It is, I have done it for use in my 38-72, using 9mm brass.

I would be careful shooting anything jacketed out of a vintage 1895 38-72, the steel is too soft and you could ruin it quickly. These guns did not have nickel steel barrels both in the 38-72 and the 40-72. They were produced from 1896 and discontinued I believe in 1909 due to poor sales. So most don't have even the proof stamp until Winchester started using it in 1905. Mine shoots the Lyman 375248 sized to 380 exceptionally well. Didnt mean to be a buttinsky but I would hate to see anyone mess up a vintage gun.

I should have explained that I sized my brass in a .379" lee sizer, then a .377" die that I made, then used a point form die I made. Bullets came out at .380" which was my barrel groove diameter.
I wasn't using them in a '95, but in another rifle chambered for the 38-72

Don't see why your method would not work.
