I poured a bunch of Lee .358 140 grain SWC's last night for use in my .38 Specials. I'm planning to use 5.7 grains of Accurate #5 which produces 890 fps with my 158's. Anybody have any pet loads for these slugs? How about snubnose specific loads, maybe 750-850 fps? I've always used .358's in my 9mm pistols, the 125 grain RNFP works great for this purpose. I wonder if this boolit would work in the 9mm? The only problem I see is that its awfully long and might reduce case capacity too much.

Yep. Like it alot. I've got it loaded over 2.7 gr Bullseye in .38s for a light easy load for an antique Colt Police Positive. I've also got it loaded over a stiff charge of Longshot for the best grouping load in a NMBH .357. There's my mild to wild. There's probably a half dozen different loadings of it on my loaded ammo shelf. Its a great 100 yd boolit, flies really well. Never tried to kill anything with it. That duty I think is better served with a full wadcutter.
