I have been casting for about 1 year now and enjoy it. I purchased a 9mm 147g mold and found that it actually cast at about 157g. I have searched far and wide for load date for this and Power Pistol with no avail. So I purchased a ProChrono Chronograph and did the testing myself. So if anyone is interested, here are my results.

I have found power pistol to be good stuff for 9mm.

I like HS-6. You can find it listed in the Lyman Manuals.

barrybrice,

Power Pistol for a cast 147grain bullet for 9mm Luger is listed in the Lyman 48th Edition Manual.

I hope this helps,

Correct, but I could not find any data for the actual cast weight of 157g lead. I am loading for subsonic. I was able to try it out yesterday and was very impressed.

Barry,

If no one stands up and posts you and says "I've done it, here's the powder in grains", it looks you'll have to start out on your own in uncharted territory. Be conservative with your development.

I hope this helps,
