Ive just started using a pro1000 and would like to know what kind of lubrication you found works best on yours, what do you use and where do you use it?

1/2 and 1/2 mix of STP oil treatment and synthetic oil.
A couple drop's soread out around the ram.
When I thought the rest of the linkage's needed lube I took it all apart, cleaned it well and used grease on those surface's.

Spray Silicone........or if you can find it, the silicone lube the Copier Repair folks use.

Do not use oil as it simply gums up the works. A good synthetic dry lubricant would also be a good choice.

I have 6 Lee 1000 presses and have been using them for years with no issues. This wasn't the case until I went dry lubricant.

The Pro 1000 likes cleanliness. Use the dry lubes like the Hornady. I don't mind a little oil on the ram or the linkage, but other than that, no oil. Especially keep the primer area free of oil or lube. Don't even dry lube the primer chute even though it is tempting. If it is sticking and the primers aren't dropping down like they should then it is time for Dawn dishwasher deteregent and some hot water for the primer chute.
