Well, got off my duff this morning and ran a few rounds through two new aquisitions, a four inch Taurus 94 looks brand new and timing and lock up perfect (pic shows flecks of sawdust as I had to rebuild my target stand before I could shoot and sawdust was all over my clothing and in my hair)

Tested only one type of ammo (not a lot of time) which was CCI blazer; considering my failing eyesight (need a lens implant soon) and the fuzzy and sometimes double site picture, no way to tell how this gun really shoots, the only thing I learned is that if I carry it for a trail gun whatever I shoot at better be real close. Shot 9 shot groups from a rest at 30 feet and the results were not pretty. Anyone live nearby with good eyesite that would volunteer to come over and shoot this thing? According to the Taurus internet site, this revolver was born in 1990. I'm impressed with the fit and finish.
This is a typical target (again, can't see those daggumed irons).

Then moved on to a Ruger single six with 9 1/2" barrel and a peep site I picked up a couple of months ago. Peeps seemed a lot clearer than the standard irons of the Taurus, but still not happy; might go to a Leupold 2X pistol scope on this one.

typical target (not the best, not the worst)
