I was on my phone when I posted this and I don't like typing on it. That's a gas check flattened out an stuck in the log.

I found several GC in the area. And this one stuck in the log. Shooting at an I beam about 10X10 from 100 yards. It's fun except every 3 shots I have to walk down pick it up an set it on the log again.

You could avoid that if you were just not such a good shot.

It is amazing what happens to lead and copper when it hits steel at high speed.
I was shooting some 44 half jacket hollow points at a steel chicken at 50 yards and watched a jacket come back and smack me in the center of my forehead.

Well Longwood, I had a whole 9mm come back and catch me in that little soft spot under my right knee. Left a good bruise and I picked up the slug off the ground at my feet. Some of us are bollit proof, but I don't want to test it again.

I dislike shooting at bullseyes and have shot myself five times so far because of shooting at bad choices for targets.
I have made a lot of those "Reactive" targets and sure am careful how I design and build them so they don't shoot back.
The funniest time I shot myself, was when I shot at one of those big plastic bottles that they sell water in with a 12 gauge with BB shot.
The side of the bottle caved a little then sprung back with a vengeance and sprinkled me, my two friends, and the truck we were standing in front of. The BB's did no damage but they did sting. We were quite surprised at how hard the shot came back.
