I have a "Senior" press that is great except for de-priming. Spent primers go everywhere. Did Hollywood make a catcher?

Not that I have ever seen or read about. Reason: When it was designed, no one cared what happened to spent primers. The base the priming arm screws into as well as the priming arm also prevents most anything from being used

There are ways to fabricate them out of plastic pop bottles; just use your imagination. Otherwise, catch the primer in your left hand when it pops out.

Here's what I did using a Glad container from the grocery store and carved with a razor. The rubber band is keeping it from "popping" and after the down stroke and primers from the dish go flying out.http://castboolits.gunloads.com/imagehosting/thum_75704fe7d05f5ef95.jpg (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=5671)

For years I used the plastic cover from a spray paint can, with a hole drilled through it for the screw in primer arm. You have to trim the cover down so it doesn't get smashed by the collar, but it works reasonably well, especially if you replace the primer arm with a bolt when depriming.

Hope this helps.

I made a catcher for the Hollywood press out of a small pill bottle with the lid.Make a hole throgh the lid and use the correct size nut to hold the lid in place ,easy to make and replace.
