Here are 3 shots fired from my CVA magbolt 150, with my homemade BP, and hand casted .44cal 255gr boolit in a sabot, fired @ 50 yards, bench rest, with a 4X32 Tasco pronhorn scope, not bad would of loved to fire more but a down pour prevented me to try some LEE reals, 250 and 320 grain, lot a fun, happy shooting. I just started making my own BP and am having problems finding a good load that gives me any type of accuracy.

Do you weight your loads, or just use a volume measure?

i USE A VOLUME MEASURE, REMEMBER HOMEMADE BP IS ALOT LIGHTER THEN COMMERCIAL POWDER, I MEASURE 120 GRAINS, WHICH COMES OUT AROUND 65 TO 70GR, I'M STILL IN THE EXPERIMENT STAGES, I HAVE ALSO LOADED SHOT SHELLS W MY POWDER, THEY FIRE GREAT, GOOD LUCK AND BE CAREFUL. HC

Well my powder for 70 grains comes out to 115 by volume, but thats
here or there. It may have something to so with your screening.I was
using a wal-mart hand strainer & switched to just door sreen & that
seemed to help.

After it dry,s I rescreen it. My grains are much more uniform. You might
try that.http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i384/Fly61/DSCN0557.jpg

I've been doing both. My 70 grains comes out to be 130 by volume. I guess that means I need a smaller screen, or maybe screen it twice like you do.

Well you could corn it (press the powder) which would make it as dense as
store bought.I do that at times, but thats a lot more work.I will pm you &
tell you right to the letter what I do.

There must be some little thing you are missing.I always say, it's kinda
like cooking a recipe. Some peoples cooking just taste better.Let me
send you a detailed PM as I do it & maybe we can come up with a fix.
