I checked it out, yes, it's real.
I could not find one in the USA anywhere (made in Italy)
I would like to shoot one, maybe own one.

I can't even imagine how much that thing will cost. For those of us where money is an issue, it would seem more practical to just get a Glock 20 if you want 16 rounds of 45 ACP power on tap.

Not to mention you would need hands like an orangutan to get a grip on that thing!

It would be interesting to see some ultra slo-mo video of the round going down range. My suspicion is, they affect each other negatively at the muzzle.

When is Para going to make a double-barrelled-double stack? It will come with a catcher's mitt to improve dexterity.

Does this thing shoot one barrel at a time or operate like 20mm pom pom?

That might be a Class III item over here, since it shoots more than one round per pull of the trigger.

I am trying to imagin what an FTF on one side would do for you with that. Double barrel, double potential problems. Useless IMHO.

I can appreciate the engineering and all that, but its utility would be hard to imagine. My money comes too hard to spend on such things.

To me, this gun is a little over the top.

I cannot even try to imagine the muzzle blast and recoil from 2 FMJ Mil. loads going off at the same time! The slide functioning and dual empties being tossed just might be a little distracting. I can imagine the grip size would be about like holding a 2x4 as the rounds must be side by side to both feed at the same time. What`s that old adage about a fool and his money?Robert

As an engineering test, it makes the grade.

Froma practicality point of view, why?

There's that old adage about teets on a boar hog.......

At least according to their website, it has excelent accuracy, but they do not show any targets - interesting...

One wide hammer, both barrels fire at the same time.

Kind of like Dolly Parton, I certainly couldn't afford it, but it might be fun to spend an afternoon with...

Yup, agree, you just couldn't get all 16 rounds out in less than 3 seconds, which is what they claim they can do an still have acceptable accuracy.

"Like Dolly Parton......." THAT made me laugh!

Marie had a look at this photo, and said "You need one. Buckshot would never give you a moment of peace about that."

No thanks--Gold Cup or P-220 in monaural is just fine with me, and there's always a Glock 21 if I want to spend all afternoon on one magazine.

Wonder what the mag looks like? Can't imagine any practical application (or CCW holster) for this engineering exercise but it would probably be fun to shoot. Doubt it's any more of a handful than a few big-bore revolvers I've fired.

I might be wrong, but I don't think the targeted buyer would be the CCW group. If however, your goal was to totally destroy whatever you are shooting at, it would probably work very nicely! The magazine(s) are a pair of standard magazines, welded together and fitted with a common baseplate and cap. They use standard 45 springs and followers.

I think the target audience is people with way too much money for their own good and a need to have toys to show off.
Luckily I don't know any such people.

Imagine a hang fire on the left hand barrel while the right hand barrel goes off and does the work of cycling the action...ejecting a slow burning cartridge right at face level.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Sorta like a car with a single front wheel.

Only more so!

Actually, there have been several 3 wheel cars over the years, my Grandfather had one. It was a BOND BUG

Having shot 460 gr bullets out of my 480 at 1050-1150 fps I can attest that the recoil is formidable, but not unmanageable. Throttling them back to 850 fps really wouldn't be that bad.

But, the double 1911 is just plain silly. If you want to spray 45 acp all over the place, might as well just go class III and get a Mac 10.

You must be allowed to smoke some pretty wild stuff in Italy.

I can just see the management meeting where they came up with this thing...... "Ahhhhh, dude, that's so cool..........oh man I got the munchies, lets go to 7-11 for chips."

Probably had the same discussion at several meetings, sadly one of them must have sobered up enough to remember to work on it.
