That's correct, and I never shot them.
I got up early this morning--
The sun was shining and summer was in the air.
Julie gave me a kiss and saw the look in my eyes,
So what time will you be home she said ?. Home I said? I am home.
Sam I heard the zipper on your range bag, You have your shooting hat on and I saw you run a patch through your pistol barrel.
OH !! the range -- um--a--Oh yea--I thought I would go out for a little while and UN-ravel a few 44 mag.
So off I went with about 60 rounds of 44 and the bisly Hunter.
I got set up and after about 10 rounds a car pulls in.
Guy gets out and behind him are his three sons and his daughter.
I guess they ranged from about 12 to perhaps 18 (guessing )
Well they all were shooting 22 rifles and a couple of 9 Mill pistols.
Dad and the kids couldn't take there eyes off the big Hog leg on my bench.
It didn't take long for a nice conversation to get stated.
I asked the Dad if it would be OK for the Kids to shoot the 44 mag.
I told him the loads were soft target loads and they should be able to handle them.
Sure he said, so I did a little quick safety lecture about the single action and let the first kid dry fire a few times to get the feel of the trigger.
He watched very closely as I opened the loading gate and put three rounds in the cylinder. Well he looked at me and said,
Sir, there are three more holes in there, So I topped off the cylinder.
He did very well with all six shots and thanked me.
When I turned around the other two boys were standing in line,
Yup, 6 more rounds for each of them. The girl passed.
I think these boys thought the wild west had come alive right there and then. Wow we shot a real six gun. I tell you I don't know who felt better them or me.
So dad has this look in his eyes like--(So do I get to shoot also.)
Yup it didn't take much to have him put 6 lead plums down range.
I think if I see them again they will have some kind
of single action pistol.
We became friends, they had fun,
I showed them how to shoot a Ruger bisly hunter, made me feel good.
So those were the best 24 rounds I loaded and never shot.
