Advance payment discount on custom Lee moulds?

Fellas, I remember someone telling me we could get a 2% discount if we paid up front on the custom runs. Can any of you guys who recently honchoed a Group Buy confirm or deny this? Tony

I can't see how they can give a discount when you have to pay in advance to get them made. The only discount I'm aware of is the dealer discount with an FFL but I think we've talked about that already. Have we got a delivery time yet?

While I don't remember the exact conversation, I do remember the answer. "The only way we accept a custom order is payment in advance"

I heard the same thing so when I sent in the check for the 452423 copy, I subtracted 2% from the total. When the check arrived they called me and told me there is no discount, send the rest of the money, plus $4.00 for shipping. :( Apparently it is strictly a retail sale until you order 100 molds.

I just talked to them on the phone last week, Pat inquired, and told me it is 1.5% discount for payment within 30 days

Fellas, thanks for the replies. Guess I need to call Lee before sending the BD45CM order out tomorrow. I am about a month behind where I wanted to be on this one due to some late orders and the hassle of moving into a new house. I appreciate your patience and will get a projected delivery date posted ASAP. Tony

Well I think I am going to call them monday as well, and mail the 434-250 check then too. I thought we had all the ducks alingned and was going to mail it today.

I tried calling Lee today and they didn't answer. I'll call on Monday, and the order will go out Monday as well. We have 28 orders for the BD45CM, and I'll order two extras. Tony

Hardcast, yep, I called them and was told there is no discount. The order is in and we are now in wait mode. I expect at least three months or so. Tony

Hi, it was me. When I sent in the Fat30 order, I sent a check with it and got a 2% discount.
They must have changed it or something??

OK the mud is clearing out of the water now hehe, Monica from lee prec. called today, it seems the 2% discount for payment within 10 days of order is only extended to dealers, and a C&R FFL seems to satisfy that requirement. Another good reason to have a C&R

so what's the sitrep on the 434-250? Do we need to throw some more cash at Mr. Lee?
If you're being shortchanged I'm more than happy to carry my weight and properly reimburse you.

A C&R is a good thing to have :-)
