I'll share, but doubt it'll help you as the powder I use is obsolete: Win AA Plus. 2.0 gr., with the Lee boolit at 104 gr. from my soft stuff, sized at .357, safe for both my LCP and my Colt 380 Gov't. Works for plinking and stuff.

I don't have an LCP, but my Kel-Tec burns thru those just fine. I don't have my load data immediately available though.

I'm loading Bullseye in mine. I'm also working up a load for that same boolit in 9x19. Mine are weighing in at 110gr on my scale.

Kyle, I'll bet if you start out at @1.5 gr. of Bullseye and work up TOWARD 2.0 gr. or so you'll find something that works. My old Lyman CBHB says 1.9 to 2.5 gr. BE with a 92 gr. boolit. Start low and work up. This seems to be an unknown concept these days. Bullseye is a fast powder so be careful.

What powder are you actually wanting to use?

edit: in case it sounded like I don't recommend BE, far from it. When I run outta AA Plus, BE is next on the list for 380 ACP. Have an 8 # jug I'm into at the moment.

well i tested 2.7gn of hp38 with a col of .963 and it seamed a little soft compared to factory although i didn't set up paper i just shot at a can i was running out of light and had to get back for the fathers day dinner but the next time i get a chance i will set a a paper target and check for key holes and then i might increase the charge a bit if so i need to get a chronograph!

I use the same handgun/boolit combo with 2.8 grains of WW231 (same thing as HP 38) loaded to factory standard COL. I don't remember the COL, I simply measured a loaded factory round. Nice load, accurate, and dumps my brass in a neat pile.

I load that bullet with 2.5 gr of Win WST. this works well in my Taurus TCP (very similar to your LCP.

I use 3.0 gr of AA#2 with 98 gr cast RNFP. I've also used 3.0 gr of Bullseye with the same bullet.

If you would like to use what looks like a more effective bullet for your 380, take a look at Ranch Dog Outdoors number TL-358-100, a RNFL bullet that works and works well for me in a Taurus 738, similar to a KelTec or Ruger LCP.

Sized .356" and pushed with HP38, nice load. If you would like to try em, check my website,

This is an awesome bullet in my LCP, and it shoots just as well as in 9mm and .38 special. I have to suggest slugging your barrel, my LCP'S bore measures .3573" so I size them to .358". I'm sure that Jerry can size them larger if needed. I use Unique and I've been loading them with 3.0 grains for shooting targets. I've gone up to 4.3 grains, but the recoil was excessive and I see no reason to beat up a small polymer pistol. I bought a bottle of Power Pistol yesterday, I'm looking forward to trying it in the .380 and 9mm.

Talked to Alliant today - recommended load 2.9-3.3gr unique for Lee 102gr RN- from everything I have read 3gr seems to be the one people have the best luck with

I've been using the Lee 106 RN since the late '70s in my AMT .380 ACP. I load it over 2.5 gr of Bullseye. Runs 750 fps. Never had a malfunction and had to "qualify" with it to carry it as a back up as an LEO. I have also shot the same load in several other 380s w/o any problems.

Cartridge aol is .965".

I have and love the Lee 95 grain version of the ranchdog. Loaded over 4.2 of autocomp chronos right at 900, accurate and mellow from both our 380's. That flat nose hits like a hammer!
