morning ,
i have a old, old mod 94 marlin and i need some tiny parts.
the small back piece of the firing pin is broken ,i think ( i'm not educated in lever guns[smilie=1:) and the ejector looks like it's little leaf spring has broken.
can any of you who know what there talking about please enlighten me on a fix and where to get these parts.
as you can see there is alot of old grunge in this bolt.

Gun Parts (Numrich), Brownells has new. In the picture firing pin bore looks crusty, find bore brush that fits and give her a good one. Very light oil on assy, to avoid intermittent firing pin function. Gtek

I just picked up some M39 Marlin parts from Brownells and from Numrich and both seem to provide excellent service. You can't go wrong using either one.

Take care,
Mike

I'm thinking you only need part number 408160C. Just give the rest of the parts a good cleaning.

That little spring in the picture pushes the rear part of the firing pin out of alignment when the lever isn't closed.

You might well need an ejector, the flat spring has been known to break. That firing pin is a two piece job, not broken. The short piece is held out of alighment by the flat spring inside the bolt--visible in picture--and is pushed back up by the locking block when fully in battery. Prevents out of battery firing. shouldn't the rear pin have a "recess" cut in it to stop it backing out?

You're welcome.

Yes, a pin is driven through the bolt. It keeps the rear from backing out. You can see where it goes by comparing yours to the picture. Yours appears to be missing the front. They really should offer a rebuild kit with all the springs and easily broken parts included.

If you decide to spend a little money, you can buy a one piece firing pin.

You can really trick one out.

jimKin,
I was looking at the one piece pin but wasn't sure if this will be compatible with my old bolt.
My bolt doesn't have any coil springs in it so i'm not sure if it (one piece ) will fit and /or even work.
If it would i would prolly get the one piece....
heck i don't know,

I'm pretty sure it would fit, but the best place to ask is probably over at the Marlin forum. http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/reloading/

For new old Marlin part and a schematic try Wisners. I can't seem to post the link so you will have to do a web search for the site.
