My daughter lost her valiant fight with C. At home, on Hospice, she breathed her last Sunday night. She was 55 years old, and our first. I called her 'Little Ed' because she was so much like me, and I called her 'Blondie', even though her hair now was brunette, because all 3 of my kids were palominos when young, as was I. She didn't get the chance for her hair to lighten up again, as mine has. The heavy grieving has taken place, but the light grieving will continue...

Words are insufficient to express condolences. My heart out to you and your family and I know from your post that you have been blessed by her 55 years here on this Earth. May God bless and comfort you and your family.

Echo, You and your family have been added to my prayers.

I attended the funeral this week of a "young" 53 year old wife and mother, who after a long battle with ALS went to be with her Savior.

Thoughts and prayers headed your way. That's not something any parent should have to go through.

Echo, my prayers are with you. I lost my best friend to cancer two years ago, he was 59 years old. He spent his last year fighting cancer at my house with my wife and I. Over the past 20 years I have lost far too many friends and family members to cancer, so I know how much wind it takes out of one's sails. Keep you love and faith, and it will carry you through the hardest of times. God Bless.
