Went up into the mountain today to see the snow. Like we haven't had enough on the flat..... [smilie=l:
Craigieburn is about and hour and twenty minutes away. The snow was very noticeable from the foot hills. Porters Pass is 3000 feet above sea level and lots of snow there and just past it is Lake Lyndon, the tail end of which is frozen. Would have liked to have a fish for a rainbow today but it had to wait:

On at the Craigieburn shelter we had a winter picnic and a walk in the forest for a little distance. The snow was about a foot deep and over the boots the girls were wearing so in no time short they have wet, cold feet so we retreated. Here we are:

Bella in the snow. She did NOT want to come home:

Stopped on the way home to see an old shooting friend and gave him a bottle of about 600 WW 311316 boolits for using on bunnies. He is 2/3 the way across the plains to the mountains in Sheffield and at 1000 feet. Up to 18 inches of snow the other day around his place. Most unseasonal. Global warming my ar$e. :bigsmyl2:
