I'm sure there are many who already know this...

Been banging my head [smilie=b: trying to get smooth consistency while dispensing IMR 7828.

I have used my Lee, Dillon Magnum, RCBS Competition, Herter's and even Hollywood powder measures & have never really been satisfied with the process.

Was reading an old Handloader's Digest and there was a description of the Hollywood Shot powder measure with the beveled hole  I have one of those.....

Gave it a try and Duh! It works better than anything I have tried...

It's smooth, consistence and now I just have to enlarge the hopper.

I converted a Hollywood powder drum to a shot drum by beveling the hole and "foxtailing" it for lack of better teminology. Boy is that hard steel! It took a long time with a dremel.

I was thinking of trying the same on some of my others, make them look like a nice 45 feed ramp.....

I have had better results on my Dillons by beveling and polishing.......

Sounds like a good idea.

I remember a post, maybe it was here that a guy polished the dillon powder dispenser in the insides and it helped with the flow.
