I have a Ken Light sight rib on a contender barrel. I am considering using it for both production and UAS-hs. Any suggestions on rings that do a good job of holding zero? Will I need to take the front sight hood off it I mount a scope?

Ive had good luck with the Leupold QRW rings on my pistols that i also switch from iron sights to scope

I'll second that. I have not had great luck with the regular Leupold quick release. I've worn out a few. Not so with the QRW. They are nice!

I use Warne QD rings http://warnescopemounts.com/product/maxima-quick-detach-rings/ on my BRNO O/U combo and they work great. They should fit straight onto the Ken Light Weaver style rib.

As for removing the hood on the front sight; you will probably find you won't need to, but YMMV depending on what scope etc you fit.
