While out flea marketing and being ever-vigilant for pewter (found just under 5 lbs), I came across this ingot mold:

The size and the "P" marking seemed made for pewter. Individual ingots weigh in at about 4.5 oz and a full "tray" is about 2.5 lbs.

Hey !! now that's neat , as long as you pour only pure lead into it you'll be just fine on remembering what it is huh?

I have one of them as well. Seriously overpaid, but I just had to have it...

The ingots will snap almost perfectly in half if you clamp them in a vise a hair below the bottom of the "P" loop and give the top a push.

I got that one for $6. I'll half to try that breaking them in half that way. I am thinking it won't be hard to snap a bar off the tray.

I'm gonna use it for pewter I smelt down for adding to lead. The "P" means "pewter" to me.

It won't be. The individual ingots snap right across the bottom of the P with a nice clean break.
