I took the plunge and ordered the Lyman Big Dipper kit, $78.99 with free shipping. It looks like other than lead, molds, and sizing equipment it has everything I need. It should be here sometime next week. I decided to go with the Lyman kit because its a great deal and, having done it both ways, I think I prefer casting with a ladle over bottom pour. I already have my lead, Lee molds, Lee sizing kits, and liquid alox lube. Anything else I should pick up while I impatiently wait for the Little Brown Santa Claus?

Please don't start without safety equipment. Welders gloves, safety glasses, and long cotton clothes are the bare minimum.

Already got it covered. These are items already in my garage so I wasn't really thinking about them as casting equipment. Yes, I do use them when casting.
