1903 Question

I picked up a great 1903 cast boolit shooter.

It has a 1093 receiver that has a 1903A3 barrel and newer stock (real pretty)

My question is the barrel/receiver has a rich dark blue, but the stock hardware is stamped parker - green. Can a 1903 front barrel band from a 1903 be put on a
1903A3?

I would like to have all blued.
Its already been modified - so I would not be affecting its collector value. Just making it mine. I really like this gun. Its fun to just pick up and handle.:D

Interested in your advise and where I can get some 1903 hardware to match.

03 hardware should fit. Why not reblue the stamped parts? Forged 03 parts can be pricy. Also what is the ser.#, is it safe to shoot?

I have installed 03 front sight bands on 03A3 barrel before and it works just fine.

If you fit an 03 upper band you will need the proper screw as well -- the 03 and 03a3 screws are different. the 03 screw has the threads at the head and no threads at the normal place. the unthreaded portion of the screw just slips into the unthreaded hole in the band.
The stamped band uses a normal type screw.
