Awesome! Fresh corn is one of my favorite things. I have a big steamer just for corn.

Check this out, it popped up after the above video, it's a device for cutting corn off the cob, pronto! Mmmmmm, now I'm thinking FRIED corn......

The silk, boiled makes a good remedy for Kidney stones.
Look it up, it is easy to make.
Especially with real corn!

I did not know that, we have a friend that has a recipe using beets that he claims is great for the same thing.
I recall as a kid making out own corncob pipes and smoking corn silk[smilie=l:

just make sure you shuck it right after it gets out. If you let it sit to long the silk will stick. Weve been doing it like that for years too. personaly i think corn even tastes better out of the microwave then it does out of a pot of water. I think the problem is most people overcook it in there pot.

You just need to get out more. We have both sweet corn and silage.

Dave Christensen down at Big Timber even developed a strain for Montana. It's an Indian type corn, called Painted Mountain. 90 days.

A lot of the old buckskinners will probably know Dave.
