My second Uberti,1873, 45 C, Range time

My first 1873 Special Sporting Rifle sucked. I sent it back and was told it was up to standards. Not mine. I spent hundreds of rounds trying to find a load. I found a tight spot in the bore. I lapped it out and finally got 2'' groups at 25 yrds. Uberti did have Benelli USA call me. I let it go back, even though I had made improvements.
This week I got a new gun. Today I managed three inch groups at fifty yards. I'll be happy with that. Looks like I'll stick will Unique, although imr 4198 shows some promise.

I had my '73 Carbine's barrel replaced by a Douglas Barrel and proceded to improve accuracy in the 0.5 to 1.0 inch at 25 yards.

I just happened to have the cash to spend for the new barrel and a gunsmith who agreed to do the job.

Mine was in .45 Colt.
