Has anyone tried this style of cooking?
If so is it any good?

I came across it while researching some PIDs for casting and with a different probe one could use their casting PID as a controller for this.

Thinking about it, if you used a PID controller with a crock pot, it should be doable at home without any other special equipment. Having a vacuum sealer would probably be helpful but not necessary.

That is exactly what I am thinking.
I already have a good vacuum sealer.
Some research said one could use HD Ziplock bags as the cooking temp is rather low.
