I'm very thankful to those who were there. This nation owes it's existence to those who answered the call of duty in that time, and before, and still.

This is the first year of my life that I have not heard a part of the story of the day from my Dad. May those who have gone now rest in peace.

I remember. I always ask others if they know this date. More times than not, they just stare and blink. The media ignores it completely.

My condolences Dirt Farmer. Amen to the peaceful resting of those now gone.
If possible, could you share a bit of what your Dad has told?
