Are these ladles worth the cost, to use for pouring melt into ingot molds?

I have a #3 and it pours almost three pound and a half ingots per filling. I need more ingot moulds. Try the Antimony Man. Google that and see what you come up with.

Yep, that is what you need but I prefer to deal with the antimony man at http://www.theantimonyman.com/
He is "one of us", might be a bit more expensive but he will cheerfully supply knowledge to make up the difference!

I use a soup ladles from a second hand store. Have two sizes. Larger, deeper when the pot is full. About 1 1/2 lbs per scoop. Small, flatter one is used as the pot gets empty. About two scoops per 1 lb ingot. Cost about $1.00 each.

Look on fleabag (eBay) I've gotten five ladles various sizes there. If you watch, you can even get them for a good price. The #5s (5lbs) are a bit big, maybe a 3 1/2.

I buy stainless steel soup ladels from a caterer supplies place. The big stirring spoon which has lots of holes drilled through it is excellent for stiring and skimming when melting down wheel weights.
