Cast some boolits for my 9mm a few days ago.
124 gr round nose (LEE mold 90465)
Water chilled them for extra hardness.
Sized them to .358 in a Lyman sizer loaded with with RCBS green lube.
Ready to use weight was 128 grains.
Loaded them with 4.0 gr of WIN 231 and fired some today.
They chronographed around 1100 fps and shot very well.
No signs of leading in the stainless steel 6" WOLF barrel.
They cycled the Glock 24 action (15 lb recoil spring) without a failure.
The case shows no signs of bulge but the primer looks like there might be excess pressure. Attached are some photos.
Do you think this is a bit hot for this bullet?
I am thinking of backing the charge down to 3.6 gr to try and slow the bullet down to around 900 fps.
