I ordered the 358 Winchester barrel for my Encore. You guys talked me into it. Now I need some help on the bullets. I ordered an RCBS 200 grain bullet mold that is suppose to drop at 358. The fellow at MGM told me the bore of my new barrel is 358.

There is a group buy called the 358627 clone. What do you guys think of this mold. It is suppose to drop at 215 grains and a measurement of 360. Here is a quote: "This will be a direct clone of the lyman 358627 which is a 215 grain Semi-Wadcutter with a GasCheck..... .360 target diameter".

What do you guys think about this mold, and bullet? Thanks, Tom.

I have had good luck with Lymans 358156, a similar GC design although lighter at 158gr or so. 12 gr unique works nicely. The NEI 208gr rngc also shoots very well in my Ruger 77 over 34-36 gr IMR 3031 and PSB filler. The 358 is an ideal CB rifle IMO.

Both of the bullets you mention will shoot just fine in your .358 Encore. Another good one you might consider would be the Saeco 245 grains GCFP.

358627 is the bullet I am sold on in 356 winchester the 358's younger brother. If I didn't own one I would have proposed a buy 5 years ago and honcho'd it. Saeco 352 works good also [245 gr] but the 220 class swc is all one could ever ask for. Gianni.
