I taped a soda bottle to paper today and shot 5 at 100 yards. Bad choice! It was too small and the dot overhung the sides so I strung out to 1-1/2" horizontal by 3/16" vertical. Shots were centered in the bottle right at the bottom edge of the dot.
I went back to 200 and shot five but could barely see the bottle so I tried to hold center, a disaster. I did not have the bottle high enough and 3 shots hit the top of my steel target right in front of the paper. Lots of shrapnel. I got 2 on paper just over the plate.
I measured 21" but it is not right with the change in aiming point so I figure I can take 4" off so I feel 17" is closer.
I will do it again but it looks like a realistic 16" to 18" drop with a 50 yards setting.
The wife was on the deck holding a flower pot when I touched off the first one. She almost dropped the pot! [smilie=1::-D
