man i remember when you couldn't go to any store or strip mall and not hear that tijuana brass song or the happy elephant,or the 5th dimensions stupid balloon song.
including my house, my pop still has that tijuana brass album.

i was just informed to not post anything we listen to around here.
but it isn't surprising to the kids or neighbors to hear skrillex followed by tom jones then
deadmau5,then the talking heads, then some hank williams followed by hank-111.

The last two sure brought back memories of my parents playing them on the stereo in the living room. Some others I remember were Wipe Out, Telstar and Tequila. Man that was a long time ago, probably in the neighborhood of 45 years. Dale

I listen to Pandora a lot and have everything from Led Zeppelin to Hank Williams Jr on my playlist. It's all good as long as it doesn't have commercials. I hate mouthy DJs that talk through half a song, stopped listening to broadcast radio a long time ago.

I've kept the same 5 Mark Knopfler CD's in my truck for a while now. I guess I'm set in my ways.

Dire Straits, one of my favorites. Enya is my most favorite. Leann Womack, George Straight (sp?), many others.

Speaking from the standpoint of the unfortunate neighbor, I hope your "patio music" is played at least 500 yards from those living nearby.

YOUR taste in music is simply that... and it most definitely may not be admired by the poor souls who are forced to listen to it.

Our nearest neighbor is about 200 yards away, and it is an UNENDING PAIN IN THE A**, having them play the stereo outside at all hours of day or night.

Please, THINK about the noise pollution you are creating, Yes, it's your property, but whatever sound travels beyond your boundaries may be POLLUTION to someone within earshot.

Okay, so I'm a cranky old buzzard, but we have rights, too.

I hear ya Bruce. I usually wear Bluetooth headphones when I work in my shop, even when I have the doors closed. No sense ticking off the neighbors, I've got some pretty good ones.

Even though this era of music is a bit before my time, this is what I listen to when out in the 'shop' or on the porch castin'.

What I find strange though, is that I can pick it up on an old boom box but not on a bona fide stereo system. Guess I need a better antenna.
