Have any of you tried any of the Smartloader ammo boxes? I'm not too keen on any of their reloading equipment but their Ammo boxes can be picked up pretty cheap. Are they a waste of money?

I haven't had any problems with their stuff. I have the scale, bullet puller and boxes in 9mm, 38 and rifle. I think if you can get a good deal, go for it!!! I did.

Yeah. I was thinking about getting their media separator too. Less than $40 bucks and looks good. I was concerned that the boxes wouldn't hold up over time from continuous use.
Thanks

If they are the orangey yellow top and grey bottom boxes with a hinge then I can comment. I love mine and would trade the berry's I have for some of the smartloader ones. The lids don't flip back closed and I've had 10 for better than a year and haven't lost one to breakage yet. The go to the range with me almost weekly. Good product. The scale from them? Not so much lol.

I needed a third small vibratory cleaner back when Graf first started carrying the line. Price was right and I'd had repeated failures with the Frankford late models so I ordered a Smart Reloader cleaner. It is as good as my 20 yo Midway 1292. I went thru 5 Frankfords in as many years, The yellow one still works. Guess I need to look at the boxes.

Their media separator is an exact copy of a Berry's, but the difference being the Berry's is made in the U.S.A. and can be purchased for around $20.00 and the dumbreloader ripoff is made in China and cost about $40.00. I think the smart decision is to buy the Berry's.

I can't fault anybody for making decisions based upon economic necessity, but if you have the means, I'd ask that you spend an extra dollar or two on American made products. I have some very nice MTM boxes that only cost an extra $1.50. I'm willing to spend that to keep money in the hands of capitalists.
