Has anyone messed around with cast in a 45 Winchester Magnum? I have a wide selection of moulds for 45 ACP and 45 Colt.

FIL has a Grizzly that likes the Lyman 454190 and a stiff dose of 2400.

This will be for a Grizzly also. I was thinking about using an RCBS 45-230-RN with Unique, but that was mostly because I have them in stock.

Good thread. I am going to switch over to cast as soon as my Grizzly gets back. It is at Wilson Combat being refinished and tuned. [smilie=w:
Being as rare a gun as it is, I have only used one load as of yet. The 200 gr. XTP and 19.9 grs. Blue Dot. That is 1 gr. under book max. I am looking at molds now...that's the reason I ran across this thread. I was thinking a truncated cone with a an HP option would be neat.
