32-40 Crimp Die for 32 WS ?

Will a Lee factory crimp die work for 32 Winchester Special cartridges?

I got a 300 Savage round thoroughly stuck in a 30-30 factory crimp die, so I am a little leery about die compatibility with different chamberings :x.

You will have to try it. I use a CH taper crimp die for the 32 WS, not the scenario you stated but it wouldn't hurt to try. Not the answer your looking for but I think it would work.

I crimp 32 S&W long brass in a 308 factory crimp die.
I put the cartridge in upside down with a spacer and a sawed off 308 case in the bottom.

I got 1413 fps with an 85 gr bullet.
That is 327 Federal country.

I use a shortned 30 Carbine die for 327 Federal Magnum. It started life as a CH4D die.
