I got this mold from a estate sale this past fall. The guy had a nice size casting business and I ended up filling the back of my truck with dies, presses, molds and all sorts of other goodies for only $300. Anyways I picked up this 10 cavity mold that throws a .408" +/- .0005 bullet that seems to be patterned after a Keith style bullet. The mold is in excellent used condition and has no makers marks anywhere on it. But what in the heck uses a .408" +/- .0005 bullet? a might to small for 41 magnum and to big for the 40 family.. It would work for a 401 rifle but it looks like a handgun mold. Any thoughts? I'll post pictures if I get around to taking some.

.408" with what alloy? What do they weigh?

I think I'd try some ww/lino mix and see what size they fall.

My Herter's .401 Powermag shoots .405" bullets. Do you want to sell the mould?

I would like to trade it actually for several molds I'll post pictures when I get out of class and get a rough weight of one of the bullets.

Sorry I don't use any lino type alloy...I have some around here that has been given to me but I simply don't see the need to use it yet. Right now I use WW out of the mold and into a water bucket.
