could anyone help me ? i have a h&r .32mag revolver model 586. i dropped it with loading gate open and broke it off. so far i have been unable to find a replacement part. i've been looking since yesterday, and i believe i'm crosseyed looking on this contraption to find any help. if i have to i'll send it to a smith if i can find one. if anyone has any info they wouldn't mind sharing i would apprecieate it. thanks

Is that part a casting? If it is, that could be tricky, but your best bet is probably to weld it, or find a machinist who can make you a flat gate out of sheet metal.

Maybe check GPC or other used parts houses for a part from a similar H&R? I highly doubt that H&R made caliber specific loading gates.
