I noticed these two (Nobel Sport) primers while making some buckshot several weeks ago.

Thoughts? Is it a non-issue?

Back in the 50's when I started reloading many and possibly all shotshell primers were not sealed. I remember reading somewhere that some primers were sealed to prevent entry of ball types of powder into the the cup. Quality control seems to have slipped a little with those primers. If your using a flake type of powder they will probably be OK.

Agree with Elk Hunter. Couple of years ago I found 5000 old Rem 97's shotgun primers I had squirreled away. None of them were sealed. Not one problem, but I use H-Clays. What powder are you using?

Elk hunter is correct and yes they are fine to use. If you use ball powder with them the primers will give a FALSE indication of overpressure or a FALSE indication of a headspace problem, but they are fine to use even with ball powders if that's what you use.
