I came across some powder at my dad's house that is over 20 years old. There was 1 canister each of H110, HP38 & AA#5. I loaded up some with the H110 and the HP38 and tested the rounds and everything was fine. I went to load some 9mm with the AA#5 and remembered hearing that this powder has been changed in the past few years and that the new data is not a match for the old powder. Also, I don't think that the AA#5 is as stable as the other 2 powders and may not be any good. Anyone have any ideas on this? If the powder is good does anyone have any of the old loading data for 9mm?

I have about 1/2 of 8lb keg of early 90's, labeled made in Czech Rep. Only use it for 9mm.
Data from a 4 5/8 barrel:
125gr LRN 5.5gr Avg Velocity 1095
125gr LRN 6.0gr Avg Velocity 1263
Rainier 115gr JRN 6.0gr Avg Velocity 1007
Rem 115gr JHP 6.0gr Avg Velocity 1200

The original AA5 was formulated and made in Israel for the 9mm pistol round. I have some of that stuff and it is good powder just a hair slower than Unique. I have not tried any of the newer stuff made someplace else.

I have had good luck with it in any application where Unique would be suitable. I don't find it better than Unique, but when I bought my stock it was considerably cheaper than Unique.
