Won't bore you with the details of various boolit weights and powder charges I've been playing with, except to say that about the best I've gotten was minute of deer at 50. Today gives me hope. Had some RD359190 cast, switched to .002" tracing paper wrapped 2x on an as cast boolit, then sized .359 and got a .359 boolit. Started back at 25yds again with a charge of 28gr of A1680 and got a group measuring .644. Tried my next set with 28.5gr same powder, got a group at .332, two boolits in the same hole! Now it's worth backing off to 50yds and working on the details on the road to perfection, even if I never get there. Goat

Very nice. Hard to beat a good day at the range. What do you think your speeds might be and what kind of lube are you using?

Gonna set up the chrono next episode, this was just further experimentation trying to find the right combination in my rifle. These are paper patched, the only "lube" involved was wiping on a thin coat of LLA before sizing. Goat

Out of a 10" barrel you should be in the 1900 fps ballpark. A rifle is likely running a couple hundred fps faster.

The 357 max is a great little cartridge.
