So today I finally go to play with the above mold and cast up 254 boolits and after inspecting them ended up with 14 rejects, probably the best reject rate I have ever had. I haven't use a Lee 2 holer in almost 15 years cause I never had good luck with them, but, that was back when I was neophyte caster and got Lee molds because they were cheap and had no clue as to what I was doing.
I did find that my casting rythym was faster with this mold in order to keep the mold hot, small boolits and the mold cools faster and I ran temps right at 800*.
With 6 bangers I usually hit the sprue plate on a wet towel to cool the sprue prior to cutting and it helps with the cutting and the boolit base. With the two holer I found the only thing that coolin the sprue did was make it harder to cut, there was no difference with the way it cut or the appearance of the cut on the base of the boolit. Wish this one came in a six holer. But I will be getting another so as to use two at a time.
I am happy so far with this one.
