[Hi folks
I have seen firing pins advertised for the Win. mod. 92s as either black powder or smokeless. Can someone please tell me what is the difference?
I have a number of 92 in 32/20 and finding parts is getting difficult down here.
To make it tougher a lot of US. firms wont ship to Australia.
thank you

Greetings
The fatter diameter firing pins are for low pressure BP rounds.
Due to the higher pressures of smokeless a narrower diameter firing pin is used to help aleviate the internal case pressure from blowing out where the pin strikes. You would have to see and measure your breech face primer hole to know the difference for sure with models made about 1900 to 1920.

Greetings
I hear you on the parts situation.. Not much shows up here in Peru either. So far here the only caliber in a Win. 92 I have seen is 44-40. Snagged all three in the last 20 years.
