Anyone know what size O-Ring to purchase to replace broken ones on Lyman type dies?

Also, how to keep a sizer from leaking lube at the bottom?

Thanks!

Tristan,
Don't know the size, but found mine in the plumbing section of a local hardware store. Same with the sizing die O-rings. Take an old one with you.

Neither my 45 nor 4500 leak, so I have no solutions.

Just went down this road, #16 "O" ring is what you need. Home Depot or good hardware store will get you back on track.

Tristan, Ken Mollohan of the CBA (Molly on this site) suggested making a gasket from writing tablet- or shirt cardboard to stop that leaking. You simply trace the outline of the #450 on the cardboard, poke holes for your bolts, and bolt it to your table or base plate. (You can make it a bit larger if necessary.) It takes longer to describe than to accomplish, but it is 100% effective.

I used a Danco #54 O-ring from Ace Hardware. Here's the complete information; I don't know what's Danco and what's Ace.

the bottom of the reservoir ?
or the bottom of the Die ?

The Reservoir:
I have a leaky 450, I cut "donut shaped" tagboard gasket and put that between the bench and the sizer.

The bottom of the die:
Maybe just re-install the die and concentrate on pushing it down to "bottom out" in the sizer. ALSO, I have several 45 sizers, and I have one die that leaks bad out the bottom when installed in one particular 45 sizer. The die has a different shape to the bottom, I don't know why, maybe it was modified ? the weird thing is, it doesn't leak
in a couple other 45 sizers and the 450 that I've tried it in.

I just had to replace the O-ring on my .358 sizer die. This information is what is needed. Quite a difference between the #54 and #16. The (Danco) #16 is way too big. I am not sure where the #16 size came from, but the #54 is the size I needed for my die.

I think the #16 size o-ring is for the piston at the top of the lube stem on the RCBS LAM II. I need to replace mine and I am going to look for that size at Home Depot. My current o-ring is worn and leaks lube up past the piston.
