C 1420 Powder

Anyone have information on this? I have approx. 1 pound of it I purchased from a commercial reloader a few years ago. -- I was told it is charactoristically close to W231, and loaded it appox 2 tenths of a grain more that I would with 231 to get the same performance. It worked fine and ran...well, much like 231.

I am wondering if it could be blended into 3 or 4 pounds of W231 with / without any noticeable difference. - I know, don't say it...not a good idea to mix powders, etc. but for the sake of argument, is it do-able?

no it isnt.

unless the density of the two is the same one will settle out of the other and you will never get a truly homogenous mix.
