I finaly started loading my boolits and have never loaded before so im new to casting and loading. in ligth of that i am reading everything 3-4 times and checking more often than that. I am comfortable with my loads except for one thing i can't figure out and am looking to the experts here for some advice. All data iv found in manuals and forums talk about OAL/COAL which is fine but my guns-barrels don't like that length. in other words i have to seat my boolits deeper, not ideal for 9mm and .40s&w.
do these look like they are seated to deep?
what is the maximum seating depth for lee tl401-175-swc boolit?

what about a lee tl356-124-2r boolit?

Unfortunatly every cast bullet design & barrel chamber is slightly different. here are my col for my 9mm in 3 different handguns with the same bullet design.

Saeco#384 122 gr rn--- 1.150-----1.150------1.150
Saeco#377 122 gr tc----1.045-----1.050------1.030
Rcbs 125 gr rn gc---------1.135-----1.135------1.135

Your manual should list the oal they used to develop the data. If you have to go a bit deeper to get it to feed, so long as you are not using the max. pressure load listed you should be o.k.

Migtek, something to wrap your head around: Your gun will tell you what it wants in boolit choice and COAL. Once you find that, develop your load to suit.

"BOOK" says 1.125 or there-abouts on .40S&W depending what you're stuffing in it. At a glance, THOSE look to be about 1.100. Hope you started at the minimum load. ;) In the future, start long with a dummy load and keep running it in a little at a time till you get a clean drop into the chamber.
