I shot this little beauty for the first time with .327 mag loads. I used a NOE 115gr SWC plain base over 10.8gr of #9. This is going to be one of my favorites to shoot from here on out. I'm going to push it a little harder in the near future. Not a spec of leading so far. The bhn is around 12-13 and the boolit was sized to .313.

I used H110 in my custom single six. My bullets weighed 118 grains. That no leading is a good sign!!! Enjoy!!!

The .327 can be pushed to a nice, brisk pace. It is a wonderful "woodstramping" handgun.

I have both the SP101 and GP 100 and they both shoot like a laser! I shoot 118gr cast over 10 grains of 2400 and these are the most accurate pistols I have ever shot.

Who would have thought that the .32 caliber could have been so accurate?!

Imagine that! ;)

I have the NOE 118gr GC HP mold and shoot it with 13 grains of #9. Stout, but accurate in my Ruger 327 and a real handful in my Taurus snub!

What's the velocity of that load?

This isn't very scientific, but I'm betting it's:

Wicked Fast!

i have a Ruger SP 101 in 32 mag. I can handload to 327 velocity in most cases if i want. Would i convert to 327 Fed? i see the advanage is for carry. i could use factory rounds and avoid the unlikely but possible court case **** about handloads. Yes i know never an issue in a self defence shooting but i saw a case on TV where a lawyer tried to say HP bullets used where " made to kill".By the way I have a Ruger Blackhawk in 327 Federal. It is nice to use 32 auto, 32 long 32 mag and 327 Federal rounds in it I would buy the 327 over the 32 mag if i had to choose.
32 iis a great flexible cartridge. 327 Federal is on par with 30 carbine without the problems with headspacing ( OAL of case)

I've done my homework and determined that the .327 Fed. Mag> EXCEEDS the .30 Carbine in equal length barrels. (Check www.ballisticsbytheinch.com if you don't believe me).

In a either a DA, or SA revolver, the longer the barrel, the better off you'll be.

Believe it... or not.

Longer barrels are always better :)
