Were they That clean when you bought them, or did you clean them up?

They where a little dusty and the H-press needed some 0000 steel wool on the chrome, I had to make a new handel for the swag o matic it's the 2nd one I have bought w/o a handel, the lyman 45 has caked in lube heat gun will fix that.

I'm going to give the shotshell press to a local place that I buy my supply's from for someone just starting out.

Well you have them looking good that's for sure.

Nice gesture on your donation.

Thanks for sharing. Love looking at old presses, especially nice cleaned up ones.

Second go round did not produce what I was hoping for, no molds one set of lyman 4c handels a box of odds and ends cleaning stuff. LOTS of military cleaning patches 1911 mags and parts, a few Ruger 10-22 mags lots of spray lube.

Did gets some ingots maybe 20lbs a 3 ammo cans of cast boolits, but did get a 5lb bar of pure tin.

The price was right $20.

If those 1911 mags are the two tone type, check what they are going for on eBay. You may have stumbled into a lot of money...

Tell me more like what i'm looking for I have a box full of 1911 mags that I have aquired over the last 40 yrs, I still use them as I have 3 GI-1911.

The one at the top, big bucks, the one on the bottom $8 each. I sold a few of these on eBay. Rusty and dented went for ~$50, nice (but not as nice as that picture) ~$75. If you have a two tone with a lanyard ring, it'll go well over $100.

I might have a few of them, I think I might have trought they were worn and repaired.

What is the history behind them that makes them so dam expensive.

I'll have to go look and see what I got, I have 30-40 mags in a box.

Thanks
Greg

The two tone mags were made prior to WWII. They are only half blued because the methods used at that time would kill the heat treat on the feed lips if they blued the whole magazine. Lanyard loops stopped being attached to the mags prior to the end of WWI.

Of course the real reason that they go so high is that crazy guys with lots of money decided they want them. [smilie=l:
