Just got back and wanted to share what ive found........

This marlin shoots pretty well,1-2 inch groups are plentyful, during this early load work up.So i know it is gonna be a shooter.

Today i tried v-133 powder,,no data out there,so had to fly by the seat of my pants.Glad i did,,,,shot many small groups,2 particularly small,a .610-3shots in .180,,and another group.555-3 shots in.110!!!

Im hesatant to post load amounts, cause its what ive been using,no pressure testing,,

When i can shoot multiple groups under .750,,,the gun is telling me its happy!!!

BTW, shooting the 375449 boolit,,280 grs,my alloy.

That .555 inch group was trucking right along,@ about 1800 f.p.s.

What bullet and at what distance?
Were you shooting with a scope or iron sights?
I have a 375Win in a Marlin I am thinking of shooting this summer.

Doc,, am shooting the 375449 All my levergun testing is done @ 50 yards.

Im at that age where my eyes are letting me down,so therefore i peepsight my marlins. But,i havent bought a peep for this gun yet.Im shooting the factory on the barrell sights, currently.

Dont know how i shot such small groups, with that open rear sight, generaly i struggle without the peep.

Before this gun came along,i didnt think any levergun could out shoot my 32 special,,now im not so sure....If only the thing didnt kick so damn hard, might have to put a shotgun pad on it.

Im also amazed at the chrono readings,,most every load has very small E.S. the worst would be around 35-40 f.p.s. Have alot of loads that was under 10!

BTW, im using felix lube, with a .379 sizer die.The die does no sizing cause it comes out of my mold @ .3765,with water dropped WW alloy, with a little babbit thrown in.

I have a Marlin that I bought used a long time ago for $100.00 with only 20 shots fired threw it, and I am thinking of starting to shoot it instead of the 45/70 all the time.

I have that mould also along with some others that I shoot in a Winchester 1885 Highwall in 38-55 Winchester.

Most of my 375 Winchester shooting has been with a TC Contender with a 10" barrel using AA1680 powder and Hornady 220 grain bullets at 2074fps average. With the muzzle break the recoil is not bad but the concussion is real bad requiring the shooter to wear ear plugs in the ears and muffs over the ears at the same time.

2100 f.p.s.,out of a 10 inch barrell,,,,wow, that is one hot load.Ive got my rifle up to 2050 f.p.s.,and i was having pressure signs, plus i had 100% compressed powder, couldnt go any higher, just as well, cause that load really smacked me around.
1775-1800 f.p.s. seems to be the sweet spot for accuracy,in my gun.Im sure there is another sweet spot, somewhere up in the upper limits, but i dont think i care to find it!

have you tested RL7 or AA1680???
I have been using RL7 with good groups with all bullets
are you using gas checks???

dont have either one of those powders, currently.Matter of fact, ive read where re7 is the predominit choice for powder in the 375,and i have alot of v-130 powder as well as v-133.The v-130 is very similar to re7,and i thought that it would be a winner, but the v-133 is shooting so nicely, that ive given up on the v-130,for now.I will get back to that, later.

Cant find no loading data for the vitourvori powder in the 375,,so you have to tread your own water....

Also, i am using gaschecks.
