Yes, but it's a lot easier to sell the .375 brass to someone who can use it and just buy .300 H&H brass.

Can also be made from 300 Wby brass. Use a good lube and trim to length after reforming.

Thanks. I did find this on the net.

The RCBS Special Order Catalog 2001 edition lists a forming die for making 300 H&H cases from 375 H&H brass. Part #15065, Group "D", and was priced at $40.95 back then. www.rcbs.com or Customer Service 1-800-533-5000, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Pacific time.

I use a set of CH 300H&H dies to reform with. Partial size, relube the shoulder area, finish the reform.

you might want to anneal before reforming and you might need to ream the necks after you squeeze them down because you will end up with thicker necks. I would check with some of the companies that deal in used brass and see if you couldn't make a deal. the 375 might be worth more than 300 h& h

Way more than that and .458's too. 300 or so plus I threw in some extra went to a absentee recipient in NC awhile back. I'm not a big RP and FC fan. I will take Nickle in any flavor though.

You can walk to the Sound and fish. How cool!

Aren't they pretty?

Agreed! I anneal anything that comes in the door.

Very nice menage' quatroes of M70s. I guess you could spare a few cases for a 300 H&H but I'd still just buy some and avoid the form die, just me though. Shees, If I had some 300 H&H I would be trading you..........

1000 ? geez i rarely shoot my 300 ouch and ouch and figured the 220 i bought should last awhile umm if you go for nickel buy it in already made 300 , sizing it up or down can tend to make it flake off etc ( and yeah purty brass ..and nice boxes too !! )

Oh no, the Nickle ones will not get reformed. They get saved because they don't turn blue green in a leather cartridge belt. I really like the Nickle ones.

The brass came from members here. Most of it came after I already had enough but folks said they didn't need it anymore and could sure use the jingle. Almost 6 years in the collecting.
Also Winchester does not make it anymore. ;)

Thanks Larry. The menage' quatroes of M70s is pretty much all I'm down to now in lieu of my eyesight loss. All I can shoot are scoped rifles. I could use a couple more Elk rifles. I have recently been eye oogling vintage military rifles only to have wifey remind me I can no longer shoot open sights. I guess I waited to long.........

[QUOTE=DUKE NUKEM I have recently been eye oogling vintage military rifles only to have wifey remind me I can no longer shoot open sights. I guess I waited to long.........[/QUOTE]

There are a range of scope mounts imported into Australia and sold under the Artic Fox brand (mind you the thought of a fox running loose amongst the smaller fragile Artic wildlife is pretty scary). They sell a scope mounting system for Enfields (which I know you are quiet fond of) that do not require any mods to the action. They work by wedging forward and back sort of a pushmepullme set up. That would allow you to continue enjoying these fine pieces of engineering.

No doubt they also have mounts for other military rifles and no doubt these are available in the States as well (in reality it is probably the other way around, they would be mainly sold in the States and also available in Australia, lol). I have seen several set ups, but these are the neatest. They also sell a reasonably priced small military styled scope that looks like it was built to go with the rifle along with many others. I was about to buy this set up for my No4s but ran out of time before we left on holidays. I am in China and cannot seem to get the site up or I would have provided you with a link.

With those sort of numbers, you could feed a machine gun! I have thousands of everything except the big a$$ed magnums!

I sized down about 25 or 30 375H&H to 300H&H just using good lube and a set of 300H&H dies. I did have to turn the necks as they ended up too thick but I didn't have any trouble sizing them.
