need a quick price check. Just getting into reloading and I don't really know how to value used equipment.
This package is for sale locally. Asking price is 350.00 for the lot

Here are some pictures

Even if I cant use it all, I figure I can parley it into gear I can use

This might not be all but it's the bulk of it. ( the bench is included too)

Need to get an answer to the seller this afternoon

Thanks in advance

I'd probably buy it for that price.

Out of curiosity, what brand is the press in the middle photo?

The question is, can you use the stuff to reload the calibers you plan to reload?

I'd guess that it's worth $350, if you want to use those two turret presses.
But if I were buying the lot for the small stuff and would just re-sell
those 2 turret presses, I probably wouldn't buy the lot for that price.
can you use ALL those dies and bullets ?

it would be a fair deal for both seller and buyer.

Unless the dies and bullets are in sizes you intend to use, I'd pass.
Starting out with those presses will be difficult. The scale is questionable. There might be small parts missing and hard to replace.
An RCBS RC or LEE Classic Cast press, would be what I'd recommend for beginners.
You have the rest of your life to accumulate, un-needed stuff, a piece at a time. No need in starting out with a bunch of it.

I could be wrong, so somebody correct me, but I think that's a Texan brand turret press there in the midle photo.

Doesn't look like there's more than $200 worth of stuff there, but that's just what it would be worth to me.

That sure does look like a Texan Turret Press. Here in NY, I would buy at that price. Analyze what I want/need and sell off all the rest. My friends know me, that's what I do! Some one always has a want list "If you can find it". Biggest trouble is what price MUST you get upon sale. Sell off what you don't want and don't try to make ALL the money back. Sell off the "vintage", "antique" products, and use that money to buy Modern if that's what you like. That Texan is sweet to learn on. Dump the Lyman press. Keep the Lyman powder measure as a starter. 310 dies are like money in the bank. Hope this helps.

The small, "310" dies are used by the Lyman press. It's a neat press if you have the dies you need, will only neck size. I use mine to load pistol cartridges and the small 32-20 size stuff. If the turret is a Texan and in good shape it is probably worth half of that price alone.

Don't forget that you have to buy guns to match the dies you have!

Thanks everyone for the help. Ultimately, I had to let it go. My brother called yesterday and needed $$$ to be bailed out of a jam. Family first right?
